  3. Copyright (c) 1995 by the Institute for Information Processing and
  4. Computer Supported New Media (IICM), Graz University of Technology,
  5. Austria.

  7. VRweb software [both binary and source] (hereafter, Software) is
  8. copyrighted by the Institute for Information Processing and Computer
  9. Supported New Media (hereafter, IICM), Graz University of Technology,
  10. Austria, and ownership remains with the IICM, insofar as it is not
  11. already copyrighted. The Software makes use of certain component
  12. libraries under the terms of their respective owners.

  14. The IICM grants you (hereafter, Licensee) a non-exclusive,
  15. non-transferable licence to use the Software for academic, research
  16. and internal business purposes only, without a fee. The Licensee may
  17. distribute the binary and source code unchanged to third parties,
  18. provided that the copyright notice and this statement appears on all
  19. copies and that no charge is associated with such copies.

  21. The Licensee may make derivative works based on or derived from the
  22. Software for academic, research and internal business purposes. The
  23. Licensee may distribute such derivative works for academic and
  24. research purposes only, provided that:

  26.   1. The Licensee notifies the IICM regarding its distribution of the
  27.      derivative work, and
  28.  
  29.   2. The Licensee clearly notifies users that such derivative work is
  30.      a modified version and not the original Software, and

  34. Any Licensee wishing to make commercial use of the Software should
  35. contact IICM to negotiate an appropriate licence for such commercial
  36. use. Commercial use includes:

  39.      sale or licence by or on behalf of the Licensee to third parties,
  40.      or

  42.   2. Distribution of the binary code or source code to third parties

  44.      or on behalf of the Licensee.

  47. IICM MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE SUITABILITY OF THIS SOFTWARE
  48. FOR ANY PURPOSE. IT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
  49. WARRANTY. THE IICM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED BY THE
  50. USERS OF THIS SOFTWARE.

  52. By using or copying this Software, the Licensee agrees to abide by the
  53. copyright law and all other applicable laws of Austria, the United
  54. States and other countries and the terms of this licence. IICM shall
  55. have the right to terminate this licence immediately by written notice
  56. upon the Licensee's breach of, or non-compliance with, any of its
  57. terms. The Licensee may be held legally responsible for any copyright
  58. infringement that is caused or encouraged by the Licensee's failure to
  59. abide by the terms of this licence.
